Blog 5: The Unforgettable Day.....

Every start of a new thing gives an end to other. The days are running on full acceleration and finally  the day came up with our "Farewell party". Our beloved followed batch(MCA_2K13) gifted us an memorable, raptorial, splendid and an unforgettable day in a well organized way.

2.30pm was the scheduled time but the rule of our batch is, always go "1 hour" late. We are habitual of this rule just because of our college function’s irregularities and we followed it even in our interviews. So at 3.30pm we were in MP Hall.
MP Hall

As we entered into the gate, two pretty girls welcomed us by drawing "Tilak" on our foreheads which is an Indian tradition to welcome people but somewhere it was a signal for us not to show western culture in our nostalgic and morose moments :-) :-) .

As we have heard that "Nayi peediyan, hamesha purani se tez hi hoti hai", it was resembled by our juniors. MP hall was empty, only we (3rd year ) were present there, waiting for 2nd year students  for our Farewell. Our rule of being late is "1 hour" and they have had their own i.e. "1 hour 30 minutes".
Junior Batch (MCA 2nd yr)
At 4.00 pm all vacant seats of MP hall were filled by both batches. One of them started it with a starry welcome speech. After that they announced for some boys and some girls for a game named "Magical Chairs". The rule of  game was, participants had to run around chairs and in each round some of them as well as chairs will be eliminated. As per required some of the girls and some boys reached in the game field. Then our juniors had some discussion in themselves and after few minutes they came up with a new decision.
Junior Batch (MCA 2nd yr)
One of them announced "I request to senior Sirs to hold their seats back because first the competition is going to held between Senior mams  and then for Sirs". Here I would say that MCA 2nd year batch has a great sense of humor. They got it that the competition should not be held between the girls and the MONSTERS.

The bugle jangled for the game. Girls played the Game in full manners i.e. taking full round, not touching the chairs and seating very carefully. After 2-3 rounds Radhika and Harshita remained in the “game of thrones” …sorry “Game of Magical Chair”. Both looked like aggressive cats staring in each-other’s eyes for the CAT FIGHT. Final round was too long. A normal chair became political one in that ambiance. In the end Harshita cut the mustard and swooped the Magical Chair.

Next announcement was for us (III year boys). All devils were coming from their realm. No manners, no sincerity, no line, no rules, no listening, just wanted a battle in that small area. First round began, boys  were also following the rules but in different manner. Some of them were not touching the chairs but running by lifting it up and placing it wherever they wanted to sit. Some of them were taking rounds of only one or two chairs. The round ended with a great sabotage. Some chairs lost legs in that battle. Second and Third round were similar. After 3rd round the organizers intercept and decided to terminate the war. They cheated otherwise I was going to win :-) :-). Finally we were back to our realm from an unfinished game.
Devils
Next competition was "Paper Dance". ABCD (anybody can dance) rule was there i.e. not only for couples but also open for "girl with girl" and "boy with boy"(friends only nothing else). 10 duets participated where we had view of some romantic scenes. One of the best scene of that dance was of Akanksha and Misha where Akanksha lifted up Misha and was dancing like "Vikram and Betaal". In last round Vikram and Betaal were competing with Afridi(Sonam a very good googly cricketer). The competition ended up with the announcement of winning team as "Sonam and Surabhi".

After this we had a question-answer round asked by our jovial juniors. Questions were too tough.Even "Chandan Singh"(now a days ideal of our juniors bcoz of highest package) was unable to answer.
Pariwaar
It was the time  for some performances. A line of singers was their like Indian Idol auditions. Each of them performed songs on friendship and some goodbye jingles. Some dance performances given by both III year and II year. Replay of ramp walk performed by our class in Culrav 2k13 and then some “Khana-Pina”.

Now the floor was ready and sound of DJ touched the Everest saying "Abhi to party shuru hui hai". No dance step,no rhythm to follow,no particular group to dance with,no tiredness,no need to stop,no need of light, no need of water, no need of Oxygen and even no need of the Earth. The only needed thing was “MUSIC”. Everyone was trying to break the floor with their full power and bestial dance.

I am never gonna forget that dance in which you guys Mayank, Kamal, Kumar Vishal, Alok, Chandan, Naresh, Akanksha, Varsha, Dev, Depaint, Chandu, Nishant, Sujit, Veer, Vijendra, Pritesh, Jyoti Prakash and Pradeep coerced me to jump badly on the floor. We ended this with one more cold-drink which I forgot to take :p.
Selfieeeeeeeeeee

Now the time itself was ready to watch our emotions. We crazy four (Mayank, Alok, Kumar Vishal and me) hugged too hard followed by other crazy dudes also, with a background song "Yaaron dosti badi hi hanseen hai, yeh naa ho toh kya fir bolo ye zindagi hai". All nostalgic moments which we lived here from 1st day of hostel life till the Farewell day were crossing the bridge of our mind (Sigh). Ended it without crying (ha ha ha).
2 angry young men at both end

After  this a big photo session in absence of our photographers Rinku, Anthony and Sagar. A group photo of both batches and then flash of capturing from everywhere.
MCA_2K12

Same rule here also “No particular group”. We (Me,Mayank and Shilpi) decided to go in any group where we found cameras and covered almost all of them from our class’ to juniors’.

Enjoyed this photo session.Girls have time limit for hostel,so the photo session stopped otherwise one more apology letter could be reach to the department.
Radha with others :-)
Last but not least,Had dinner at our favorite "Night Canteen" and spent another 2-3 hours in room no. 52 (our stoppage) to rewind the cassette of the “Unforgettable Day”.
