I am Satoshi Nakamoto

I am Satoshi Nakamoto and I invented bit-coins. Can I say that?

Yes, now a days it's a trend.

The first time I heard about Satoshi Nakamoto is when i read 'God is a gamer' a thriller by Ravi Subramanian. Satoshi Nakamoto is/was the inventor of Bit Coins or virtual money, based on cryptography and mathematics. As i completed the story, I was so curious to know about this person 'Satoshi Nakamoto'.

I searched for it and got many articles about the founder of bit-coins. The name SATOSHI NAKAMOTO is an alias given by the person who invented the bit-coins. Nakamoto worked with people on the open-source team, but took care never to reveal anything personal about him/herself. His/her real identity is still not known to anyone? Wherever you search, you will end-up with the same question. Who is Satoshi Nakamoto? For now i am going to refer Satoshi as a man.

what is Bitcoin?

Bitcoin is a form of digital currency, created and held electronically. No one controls it. Bitcoins aren’t printed, like dollars or rupees – they’re produced by people, and increasingly businesses, running computers all around the world, using software that solves mathematical problems. It’s the first example of a growing category of money known as cryptocurrency.

Few days ago, I found a news that 'The father of Bitcoin revealed: Craig Wright says he's Satoshi Nakamoto'. It says, Australian entrepreneur Craig Wright publicly revealed himself as Nakamoto, showing cryptographic proof of his identity to media publications including the Economist and the BBC, as well as several prominent people form the Bitcoin community, an enormous cloud of doubt overshadowed his claims.

He digitally signed messages using some of the earliest bit-coin cryptographic keys, which are linked to Bitcoin blocks mined by Nakamoto himself.

"I created it with the help of other people", Wright said in an interview with BBC.

He also published a blog post on his website, explaining, how he proved he is Nakamoto. Later he hide all posts from his website and wrote for not giving any proof further and said he's sorry. read here.

The search for Satoshi, who invented bitcoins in 2008 is a mystery that has been puzzeling the IT world for a decade. Wright's decision for revealing his identity as Nakamoto is to end the seemingly endless media speculation about his identity.

Claimes and belives for Nakamoto before Craig Wright:

Some people belived Nakamoto is Michael Clear, a graduate cryptography student at Dublin's Trinity College. Later, Michael publicly denied it.

Adam Penenberg, claimed that Nakamoto are three people: Neal King, Vladimir Oksman, and Charles Bry.

Some people thinks that he is Japanese, because when bitcoin.org was registered in 2008, the registrant actually used a Japanese anonymous registration service, and
hosted it using a Japanese ISP.

Others think that it was Martii Malmi, a developer living in Finland who has been involved with bitcoin since the beginning, and developed its user interface.

And many more...

The question- Why did Wright stay silent till yet?

on asking this question from BBC he said, I don't want the public's spotlight on me, and that revealing my identity out of necessity.

"I want to work, I want to keep doing what I want to do. I don't want money. I don't want fame. I don't want adoration. I just want to be left alone," he said.

At the end of the interview he said, "I will never, ever, be on a camera ever again, for any station, or any media, ever."

Can we finally declared him Nakamoto?

Even if he presented cryptographic proofs that he is Satoshi, the doubt is always remains.

The Economist, leaves open the possibility that Nakamoto (who communicated only electronically and was never seen in person by anyone) is someone else entirely.

While Wright fits the profile of Nakamoto to a degree, it's possible that he obtained the cryptographic proof from someone else — perhaps prominent Bitcoin figure Hal
Finney, who died in 2014.

The Economic article added, "It may never be possible to establish beyond reasonable doubt who really created bitcoin,".

It's quite possible that Wright is one of Bitcoin's founders, or at least a key person in the cryptocurrency's development.

So now again one can say, I am Satoshi Nakamoto.
